Debo, in your journey of faith, you will sometimes struggle with earthly desires—those worldly cravings that pull you away from doing what’s right. Whether it’s wanting things or indulging yourself, these urges steer you off course from what God wants for you.
But remember Galatians 5:16 encourages us to follow the Spirit. When you line up your actions with what the Spirit wants, you’ll find the strength to resist those earthly temptations. It’s something you must choose every day, giving up your own wants and letting God’s Spirit show you the way.
Confession: Dearest Father, in your Spirit, I find strength to resist and overcome my desires. I choose lasting peace over earthly pleasures, surrendering daily to your will. Guide me towards your purpose, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
